The Office Of The International Overseer
103rd International Assembly, 2011
Change to Assembly Ruling Regarding this office:
In the event of the death of the International/General Overseer or his being incapacitated due to illness, as certified by proper medical authorities, then the Executive Committee will assume the responsibilities of that office until the following International Assembly.
In the event of the International/General Overseer being called into question for spiritual failure or any just cause, after he has been given the opportunity to defend himself to the Executive Committee and they have found the charges to be true by the unanimous consent of the Executive Committee in session, he must then relinquish all of his responsibilities to the Executive Committee until the next International Assembly.
The Executive Committee must bear the burden of proof before the International Assembly of any and all allegations against an International/General Overseer. Then he would be allowed to defend himself against all allegations. At this proceeding, the International Assembly would bear the burden of finding the charges true or faulty. The International Assembly would then dismiss the charges or dismiss the present International/General Overseer and appoint a replacement in accordance to previous assembly rulings. The Executive Committee Chairman would moderate the opening of this International Assembly and be legally obligated to ask the assembly to appoint a moderator for the International Assembly business of finding the International/General Overseer guilty or innocent of all allegations against him.
